GDPR PRIVACY NOTICE

This Notice explains how Scotgold Resources Limited and its subsidiaries (“Scotgold”) processes the personal data of people listed on the Stormbox Database.

This Notice also describes the rights you have regarding Scotgold’s processing of your personal data and provides you with details of whom to contact if you have any questions. This Notice is provided to you for purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) (the “GDPR”). This Notice supplements the terms of the Scotgold’s Privacy Policy (the “Policy”). You may request a copy of this Policy using the contact details below. To the extent there is any inconsistency between the terms of this Notice and the terms of the Policy, the terms of this Notice will apply.

Types of Data Processed:

Scotgold works with Stirling IT to process the following categories of personal data relating to you:

  • contact data (i.e. name, address, email address and telephone number);

We obtain this data from you through face to face or telephone contact, by application via our website, by email or letter.

Purposes of Processing:

Scotgold processes personal data about you in order to provide information on our business activities.
Scotgold relies on this as a legitimate interest for the processing of this personal data.

Recipients:

We may transfer this personal data to other Scotgold group entities, to banks, insurance companies, to our legal and professional advisors, to taxation and other governmental authorities in connection with Scotgold’s obligations and to third parties in connection with legal proceedings in which Scotgold is engaged.

International Transfers:

In order for Scotgold to be able to achieve these processing purposes within its international organisation, Scotgold may transfer your personal data to its service providers and to certain of its group companies to enable the Scotgold group to work together. Scotgold will provide an adequate level of data protection should your personal data be transferred to service providers and Scotgold group companies in countries outside the European Economic Area.

Retention Period:

Your personal information will be retained on the database until you request it to be removed or until its stated purpose is no longer valid.
At your request, it will be deleted subject to Scotgold’s compliance with HMRC and other regulatory bodies.

Data Subject Rights:

To the extent permitted by law, you are entitled to obtain information on the processing of your personal data, to object to the processing of your personal data, make use of your right to data portability and to have your personal data rectified or deleted or its processing restricted. You are also entitled to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, which is generally the supervisory authority where you are resident.
