Cononish Farm Planning Application

Scotgold Resources Limited has been undertaking studies at the Cononish Farm site over the past 3 years. A further drilling programme has been completed, and ecological surveys carried out to update the information gathered at the time of the 1996 planning permission.

Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Authority has been requested to provide an opinion on the scope of the Environmental Statement which will accompany the forthcoming planning submission for a revision of the 1996 permission.

The recent changes to the procedures for planning applications – The Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 2008 – requires that major developments carry out pre-application consultation (PAC) a minimum of 12 weeks before submission.

Exhibitions will be held in Tyndrum Village Hall on Thursday 12th November and Wednesday 2nd December when the public will have the opportunity to learn about the revised gold mine development proposals and talk to Scotgold Resources staff.
